AUGUST FLYING STARS FENG SHUI August 7 – September 7, 2025: SPECIAL COMBINATION all the Stars are in their home location making them even more potent.

2 Earth with 9 Fire and Visiting 5 Earth – Center Earth

ANNUAL STARS: The Earth here is a comfort to the 2 Star going through transition in Period 9. The 9 Star nourishes the Earthy 2 with Fire which is a caution that the 2 Star reverts to its Yellow Star of Sickness Period 8 tendencies. The risk of Fire related illnesses like heart disease, heartbreak, high blood pressure, stroke, and relationship issues is to be monitored. Best to keep this area calm. A bathroom here will drain wealth. Be mindful of digestive issues too. The 9 Star’s position here for Period 9 coupled with the 2 Star can work to our advantage with wealth, fame, and success.

MONTHLY STARS: For AUGUST, the 5 EARTH Star is at home in the Center creating a disaster in the waiting when you add the 2 Star which in this scenario absolutely resorts back to its Period 8 tendency for sickness and misfortune. The caution here is for calm, quiet, and not to have any major commotion going on in or around the Center of every home, office, and business. The 9 Star feeds these negative Earth Stars like fanning the flame of disaster. If anything can go wrong, it will. Given the volatility with the Month of the Monkey adding more chaos to August’s forecast for both home and astrology.

CURES:

• Display a singing/ round metal bowl or Dragon Headed Turtle to overcome obstacles with the 2 Star.
• If there is no space for items, hang a black and white prayer or poem in a metal frame that offers a blessing to the family and home.
• Taking any purple out of this area for August – do not want to embolden the 9 Star
• For August continue with the annual palette and cures of Metal to drain the Earth Stars.

Colors: black, gray, silver, black, and brown. Metal furnishings, or painted white, black, or gray.

Avoid: Earthy colors like yellow, tan, peach, Fiery colors like fuchsia, red, or orange, Wood, green, Water. 

1 Water with 8 Earth and Visiting 4 Wood– South East Wood

ANNUAL STARS: This is a weakening influence especially with the ruling Earth element present to control the 1 Star but there is good fortune to be found here as this star combination brings money luck, future wealth, promotion, success, helpful people, and good relations. This is a good place for an office, teacher, or student. Remember the Grand Duke or Tai Sui is in 142.5-157.5 (home of the Snake), this is very close to the South. DO NOT FACE THIS DIRECTION.

MONTHLY STARS: Last month may have brought some real upsets but August delivers in abundance of wealth, intelligence, creative pursuits. Stars 1 and 4 bring a Peach Blossom for love, education, and communication in all forms. 4 and 8 bring spiritual awakening making this a great location to sit in for meditation (just don’t face SE). This is a great location for networking, entrepreneurs, and good fortune in all your endeavors. Keep this area brightly lit and active in August.

Cures:

• Pi Yao beasts facing into that SE3 142.5-157.5 direction.
• If this is a bedroom and you cannot sleep elsewhere in your home, put a Wu Lou Health Gourd on the bedside table and a Salt Water cure under the bed for protection of your health.
• Display a 2025 Tai Sui image or Grand Duke statue prominently placed.
• Do not disturb this area of your home or yard with loud construction, noise, and commotion.
• Display a Vision Board representing all you long to manifest in 2025 – be bold, brave, and daring in your vision!
• For August – Wood is welcome and with the color palette of greens and blues also add lush plants. If you have a desk here, place a world globe or a brass pagoda to support your work or studies.

6 Metal with 4 Wood with Visiting 9 Fire Star – South Fire

ANNUAL STARS: This is another year with a conflicted Southern sector of the Ba-Gua. The 6 Star controls the 4 Star bringing great wealth, status, fame, rise in power, and success. Be mindful of mental health issues, especially if this is your bedroom. There is also a risk of lung and large intestine illness. 

MONTHLY STARS: This area of our homes is lit up this month! There is a real caution to burn out but the vibe is active, bold, being seen, being recognized, fame, fortune, and all the goodies. Just pace yourself when you find yourself in the flow of success.

Cures:

• Display 6 Gold ingots in a round yellow plate.
• For August Yellow bed linens, pillows, rugs, table linens, towels, and/or art.
• To motivate changes in your career or to create opportunities for travel, display a Red Horse facing the door.
• In August display square shapes, pottery, ceramics, and citrine crystals.

Colors: Earth, no need to fuel this big Fiery energy in August. Yellow, brown, tan, rust, peach, chamois, and putty.

AVOID: Black, gray, white, Metal, Water, Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, and shades of green.

8 Earth with 6 Metal with visiting 2 Earth  – South West Earth

ANNUAL STARS: This is another pairing of an Earth Star being in an Earth sector. This can bring great wealth and good fortune. Too much Earth can cause health issues related to stomach and digestion, immune system, and those areas need to be watched just like in NE and Center. Even with these Stars not being as vibrant in P9, there is great potential for wealth and good fortune.   

MONTHLY STARS: There is a lot of potential for success, power, and good fortune with the 8 and 6 Stars but the 2 Star in its home location is amplified bringing the weight of your burdens and woes. Stress may take a toll. This is the home of the mother and the woman of the house and they are the ones who may feel this the most.

Cures:

• Not for August – Add Earth like citrine, amber, quartz crystals, or pottery.
• Display a Gold Buddha for money luck with 8 yellow silk flowers in an Earthen vase in a prominent place
• Not for August – Create a Love Altar to usher in a new love, or support a current relationship by displaying a pair of Pink Heart Crystals, a Pair of Ducks, a favorite photo of you and your love and/or other meaningful memorabilia.
• August requires a balance of Earth and Metal to nourish the best chi and depress the 2 Star. Use a Wu Lou Health Gourd if this is a bedroom. Metal items and white or cream colored bed linens. Round Metal singing bowl to absorb negativity.

Colors: For August cool things down with cream, white, gray, tan, silver, gold, and brass.

AVOID: Yellow, Brown, Rust, Peach, Fiery red, orange, watermelon, violet, Blue. Water, Wood, and shades of green.

4 Wood with 2 Earth with visiting 7 Metal– West Metal

ANNUAL STARS: This is in conflict and requires mitigating with Water colors, not actual Water. Be mindful of mental health, fighting among women, academic luck, popularity with a caution, digestive, spleen, and liver issues. It’s a mixed bag of possible outcomes so be mindful and cautious.

MONTHLY STARS: The combination of the 7 and 2 Star steal the show this month with a volatile potential for injury, violence, surgery, betrayal, infidelity, and legal action. The 4 Star is rendered inactive. There is a lot of drama blowing up here. Great room for quiet activities like art, writing, or reading.

CURES:

• 4 stalks of Lucky Bamboo in a Blue Vase in a prominent location.  
• Display a Red Happy Hotei for harmony in relationships
• Use a Brass Pagoda for students or anyone who works in education if this is your office or study.
• For August display a Dragon Headed Turtle for protection. Metal items like a round bowl will help drain this negative chi.

Color: Metal, white, black, and gray with a splash of blue.

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, rust.

3 Wood with 1 Water with Visiting 6 Metal– North West Metal

ANNUAL STARS: This is a conflict of Wood and Metal. The 1 Star offers a mitigation of Water. 3 Star is already weak in P9 so this line up should ease the contentious energies here that brings gossip, legal issues, robbery or loss of wealth. This is the Sui Po breaker for 2025, the placement of the Pig, the enemy of the Snake. The Pig in the NW 3 is the one that breaks up the dangerous Punishment of the Tiger Snake and Monkey. NO CONSTRUCTION or loud noises, renovations, or deep digging inside and outside your property.

MONTHLY STARS: The 6 Metal is a far better situation in August for leadership, advancement, and focused mental agility BUT that 3 Star brings stress, edginess, impatience, and a caution to how you lead, how you advance, and how you communicate with others.

CURES:

• If this is a bedroom, please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health. If possible, sleep in another room with better chi.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance and if not, put up a convex Ba-Gua mirror and put Gold Fu Dogs on either side of the front steps.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• No moving water here. 
• Display a Red Happy Hotei for harmony in relationships.
• Avoid sitting here for long period of time – do not face SE while in this room.
• Cure for the Sui Po – 4 Celestial Animals Talisman
• For August Metal colors with BLUE is recommended. Balance is key so don’t overload the room with too much of any one element. Display images of people you admire. Great room for planning, mentoring, or advising.

Color: Blue, White, Black, and Gray with Metal

AVOID: Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, or rust, Fiery red, violet, orange, hot pink, and moving Water.

7 Metal with 5 Earth with Visiting 1 Water Star – North Water

ANNUAL STARS: The 7 Star is compatible as Metal gives birth to Water but the 7 Star is a fighting star that brings lawsuits, arguments that can turn violent, theft, surgery, injury with sharp objects, and gossip or slander. Keep nothing sharp here like knives or guns. The element Water weakens this negative energy. The 5 Earth Star is greatly weakened in this position and the Metal of the visiting Star further drowns out its negative influences but that 5 Star is feeding the 7 so there is interaction and it is not favorable. Caution around lung and large intestine (Metal organs) illnesses.

MONTHLY STARS: The 1 Star offers a bit of a reprieve from the volatile soup we swam through last month but still, it is an area to avoid if possible. Mental anguish, stress, defamation, betrayal at work, and loss of income are all possible when this area of our home is disturbed by loud banging and commotion. Keep this room dark, quiet, and undisturbed.

Cures:

• Put on a table a round Metal bowl to absorb the toxic chi.
• If this is a bedroom please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance but if you must, double check security and safety.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• A lush house plant is also welcome but no running Water.
• Black obsidian or blue stones.
• AVOID THIS AREA OF YOUR HOME FOR August

Colors: All shades of Blue and White with Metal

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, or rust. No running Water.

5 Earth with 3 Wood with Visiting 8 Earth Star – North East Earth

ANNUAL STARS: The 5 Star is at home here and as this is the most negative of all the energies, this is NOT a place to use with any regularity like an office, bedroom, or entrance. Add Metal to reduce the misfortune that brings illness, accidents, and horrible events occurring.

MONTHLY STARS: The 9 Fire is dangerous because Fire feeds the 5 Earth Star and activates the 3 Wood Star. Terrible location for a bedroom or main entrance for 2025. Use great caution here. Watch for fire related disasters, heart health, and mental health. Be mindful of health and safety.

Cures:

• If this is a bedroom please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance but if you must, double check security and safety.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• If a main entrance use a pair of Gold Fu Dogs and a Ba-Gua Mirror to protect the home.
• A round Metal Bowl or Dragon Headed Turtle are welcome cures to display. 
• Another option is to hang a 6 Rod Metal Wind Chime outside.
• For August the presence of both 5 Earth and 8 Earth in the North East which is also Earth could feel really heavy, oppressive, and cause stagnation, illness, and obstacles. AVOID this room for anything important like studies, sleep, main entrance, or work.

Colors: Black, Gray, White with Metal

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green, Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, rust, and Blue.

9 Fire with Metal 7 with Visiting 3 Wood – East Wood

ANNUAL STARS: Here the 9 Star is nourished which adds to the great good fortune in this sector of the home. Middle aged women and middle daughters will have the best year. The San Sha or Three Killings reduces the benefits for this sector unfortunately. Don’t add Fire here as it can be too much, leading to heart issues, blood clots, and mental health or head problems. In this Star formation, the powerful Fire of the 9 Star smelts the Metal of the 7 Star so it is neutralized leading to good fortune.

MONTHLY STARS: Yowza the caution flags are waving this month as arguments turn violent, family disputes get enflamed, and betrayal delivers a mighty blow to relationships. Emotions are enraged, irritated, confrontational, and potentially abusive.

Cures:

• In a prominent place put 9 Purple silk flowers in a green vase with amethyst crystals.
• A couple healthy plants – outside plants flowers that bloom purple like lavender, lilac, or indoor plants could be orchids.
• To appease the Sans Sha affliction place a 3 Celestial Beasts Mirror or Plaque.
• For August , the 7 Star is weakened here and so I would focus on draining the 3 Star which is empowered in its home direction. Bring in a Red Happy Hotei with children at its feet to encourage family harmony.

Colors: Green, Purple, floral designs, and Wood element are the focus for design.

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors like red, purple, orange, fuchsia, also Earth like yellow, brown, tan, peach, Metal, white, gray, black, Water.

Best Directions for AUGUST – South East, South, South West, and North West

Worst Directions for AUGUST – Center, North East, North, West , and East

The Monkey on the world map falls across New England and north, also the Western most part of the Caribbean, and most of South America. Since this is a Yang Wood Monkey it more specifically hones in on the bottom half of South America.

The Year of the Snake hi-lights the central and Eastern parts of Africa and all countries north of there including Sudan, Egypt, Israel, the Gaza Strip, Turkey, Greece, Ukraine. Specific to the Yin Wood Snake is squarely on South Africa, Zimbabwe, parts of Mozambique, and Botswana.
