We began 2025 with all of the Flying Stars DOUBLED in February. Then March didn’t bounce in like a Rabbit, it stomped in like Bunnicula with us in a fight, a battle, and experiencing so much conflict swirling around every home. April was a new vibe, it was fertile Earth of the Dragon with a heavy Yang Metal sitting atop like a tractor plow cutting into the soil. May 5, 2025 brings a mix of good fortune and fighting with this month’s double Snake Bazi Astrology.

2 Earth with 9 Fire and Visiting 8 Earth – Center Earth

ANNUAL STARS: The Earth here is a comfort to the 2 Star going through transition in Period 9. The 9 Star nourishes the Earthy 2 with Fire which is a caution that the 2 Star reverts to its Yellow Star of Sickness Period 8 tendencies. The risk of Fire related illnesses like heart disease, heartbreak, high blood pressure, stroke, and relationship issues is to be monitored. Best to keep this area calm. A bathroom here will drain wealth. Be mindful of digestive issues too. The 9 Star’s position here for Period 9 coupled with the 2 Star can work to our advantage with wealth, fame, and success.

MONTHLY STARS: For May, the 8 Earth Star brings joyful events, celebrations like graduations and weddings. The 8 and the 2 equal 1 which is great good fortune. There is a good bit of luck around real estate in the event you are trying to buy or sell a home or are in the real estate business.

CURES:

• Display a singing/ round metal bowl or Dragon Headed Turtle to overcome obstacles with the 2 Star.
• If there is no space for items, hang a black and white prayer or poem in a metal frame that offers a blessing to the family and home.
• Bring in the color purple to honor the 9 Star like a chunk of amethyst
• For May – Add money motivators like a pile of coins, 8 Chinese coins on a red string, or a citrine crystal.

Colors: black, gray, silver, black, and brown. Metal furnishings, or painted white, black, or gray. Add a pop of purple.

Avoid: Earthy colors like yellow, tan, peach, Fiery colors like fuchsia, red, or orange, Wood, green, Water, or blue. 

1 Water with 8 Earth and Visiting 7 – South East Wood

ANNUAL STARS: This is a weakening influence especially with the ruling Earth element present to control the 1 Star but there is good fortune to be found here as this star combination brings money luck, future wealth, promotion, success, helpful people, and good relations. This is a good place for an office, teacher, or student. Remember the Grand Duke or Tai Sui is in 142.5-157.5 (home of the Snake), this is very close to the South. DO NOT FACE THIS DIRECTION.

MONTHLY STARS: For May, the 7 Metal Star is a caution, though it is weakened by the Woodsy position. The issue here is relationships struggling with disharmony and fighting. Be mindful of any interactions you have in this room – watch your back. CAUTION: The Grand Duke here still demands that we respect this part of our homes and yards by not doing any renovations, constructions, or deep digging.

Cures:

• Pi Yao beasts facing into that SE3 142.5-157.5 direction.
• If this is a bedroom and you cannot sleep elsewhere in your home, put a Wu Lou Health Gourd on the bedside table and a Salt Water cure under the bed for protection of your health.
• Display a 2025 Tai Sui image or Grand Duke statue prominently placed.
• Do not disturb this area of your home or yard with loud construction, noise, and commotion.
• Display a Vision Board representing all you long to manifest in 2025 – be bold, brave, and daring in your vision!
• For May bring in the innate element of Wood with plants, and the color green. This can be throw blanket, pillows, towels, etc. There is still wealth potential here so don’t discount the good fortune of this sector. Add money cures like a pile of coins, a money tree, or 8 yellow silk flowers in a wooden vase.

Colors: FOR MAY change the palette to more blue with green, and lush plants.

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, or rust, Metal, white, black, and gray.

6 Metal with 4 Wood with Visiting 3 Star – South Fire

ANNUAL STARS: This is another year with a conflicted Southern sector of the Ba-Gua. The 6 Star controls the 4 Star bringing great wealth, status, fame, rise in power, and success. Be mindful of mental health issues, especially if this is your bedroom. There is also a risk of lung and large intestine illness. 

MONTHLY STARS: For May, the 3 Star is in conflict with the 4 Star creating agitation, anxiety, depression, and fighting. This is an area near to the Snake of 2025, the Phoenix rising, and the energy feels fired up, challenged, and likely to bring change. With the changes coming you may feel unstable.

Cures:

• Display 6 Gold ingots in a round yellow plate.
• Blue bed linens, pillows, rugs, table linens, towels, and/or art.
• To motivate changes in your career or to create opportunities for travel, display a Red Horse facing the door.
• For May – add a Blue Happy Hotei or Blue Rhino to appease relationship woes.

Colors: To mitigate and bring in a harmonious flow of chi use the palette of BLUE to mitigate conflict between Metal 6 and Wood Stars 4 and 3.

AVOID: Brown, tan, cream, yellow, peach, terracotta. Black, gray, white, Metal, Water, Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, and shades of green.

8 Earth with 6 Metal with visiting 5  – South West Earth

ANNUAL STARS: This is another pairing of an Earth Star being in an Earth sector. This can bring great wealth and good fortune. Too much Earth can cause health issues related to stomach and digestion, immune system, and those areas need to be watched just like in NE and Center. Even with these Stars not being as vibrant in P9, there is great potential for wealth and good fortune.   

MONTHLY STARS: The 5 Earth is a disaster in this Earthy sector and brings risk to financial loss, injury, and illness. Be most mindful of how you utilize this room.

Cures:

• Add Earth like citrine, amber, quartz crystals, or pottery.
• Display a Gold Buddha for money luck with 8 yellow silk flowers in an Earthen vase in a prominent place
• Create a Love Altar to usher in a new love, or support a current relationship by displaying a pair of Pink Heart Crystals, a Pair of Ducks, a favorite photo of you and your love and/or other meaningful memorabilia. BE CAREFUL THAT YOU ARE ATTRACTING THE BEST LOVER OR BRINGING THE BEST ENERGY TO YOUR ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP.
• For May, be mindful to reduce the 5 Star with Metal objects and colors. If a bedroom use a Metal Wu Lou to protect your health. Add some Blue.

Colors: For May, a different palette for design; Black, gray, white, Metal, and a little blue.

AVOID: Yellow, Tan, Brown, Rust, Peach, Cream, Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange Water, Wood, and shades of green.

4 Wood with 2 Earth with visiting 1 Water – West Metal

ANNUAL STARS: This is in conflict and requires mitigating with Water colors, not actual Water. Be mindful of mental health, fighting among women, academic luck, popularity with a caution, digestive, spleen, and liver issues. It’s a mixed bag of possible outcomes so be mindful and cautious.

MONTHLY STARS: The month of May brings a really positive shift to the West. The 1 Star mitigates the conflict with the Woodsy 4 and the Metal West. This could be great for relationships, achieving success, fame, and reputation.

CURES:

• 4 stalks of Lucky Bamboo in a Blue Vase in a prominent location.  
• Display a Red Happy Hotei for harmony in relationships
• Use a Brass Pagoda for students or anyone who works in education if this is your office or study.
• FOR May, bring in Blue colors and crystals for nourishing the Watery 1 Star.

Color: Metal, white, black, and gray with blue.

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, rust.

3 Wood with 1 Water with Visiting 9 Fire – North West Metal

ANNUAL STARS: This is a conflict of Wood and Metal. The 1 Star offers a mitigation of Water. 3 Star is already weak in P9 so this line up should ease the contentious energies here that brings gossip, legal issues, robbery or loss of wealth. This is the Sui Po breaker for 2025, the placement of the Pig, the enemy of the Snake. The Pig in the NW 3 is the one that breaks up the dangerous Punishment of the Tiger Snake and Monkey. NO CONSTRUCTION or loud noises, renovations, or deep digging inside and outside your property.

MONTHLY STARS: The 9 Fire creates an elemental flow with the Water 1 nourishing the 3 Wood which feeds the 9 Fire. This builds harmony in relationships. The 3 Star can still get annoyed and irritable but the overall vibe here is success and happiness.

CURES:

• If this is a bedroom, please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health. If possible, sleep in another room with better chi.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance and if not, put up a convex Ba-Gua mirror and put Gold Fu Dogs on either side of the front steps.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• No moving water here. 
• Display a Red Happy Hotei for harmony in relationships.
• Avoid sitting here for long period of time – do not face SE while in this room.
• Cure for the Sui Po – 4 Celestial Animals Talisman
• For May add pops of red and purple in your home decor along with amethyst crystal, purple candles, red and purple pillows, towels, throw blanket.

Color: Drain the 3 Star with Fire and colors of red and purple in May.

AVOID: Blue, white, black, Metal, Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, or rust, Water, and shades of blue.

7 Metal with 5 Earth with Visiting 4 Star – North Water

ANNUAL STARS: The 7 Star is compatible as Metal gives birth to Water but the 7 Star is a fighting star that brings lawsuits, arguments that can turn violent, theft, surgery, injury with sharp objects, and gossip or slander. Keep nothing sharp here like knives or guns. The element Water weakens this negative energy. The 5 Earth Star is greatly weakened in this position and the Metal of the visiting Star further drowns out its negative influences but that 5 Star is feeding the 7 so there is interaction and it is not favorable. Caution around lung and large intestine (Metal organs) illnesses.

MONTHLY STARS: The 4 Stars brings conflict between young women and older women. The 4 Star is in conflict with the Metal 7 and Earth 8 so there is a lot of disharmony here.

Cures:

• Put on a table a round Metal bowl to absorb the toxic chi.
• If this is a bedroom please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance but if you must, double check security and safety.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• A lush house plant is also welcome but no running Water.
• Black obsidian or blue stones.

Colors: All shades of Blue, Blue and White with Metal

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green. Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, or rust.

5 Earth with 3 Wood with Visiting 2 Star – North East Earth

ANNUAL STARS: The 5 Star is at home here and as this is the most negative of all the energies, this is NOT a place to use with any regularity like an office, bedroom, or entrance. Add Metal to reduce the misfortune that brings illness, accidents, and horrible events occurring.

MONTHLY STARS: The 2 Star makes for the WORST area of the month with the potential for accidents, illness, loss of fortune, lawsuits, and divorce or break ups. It is a room to avoid. It is a bullfight.

Cures:

• If this is a bedroom please have a Wu Lou Health Gourd and a Salt Water cure by the bed for protection of your health.
• Try to avoid this as a main entrance but if you must, double check security and safety.
• Do not disturb with loud construction, noise, and commotion inside and outside the home.
• If a main entrance use a pair of Gold Fu Dogs and a Ba-Gua Mirror to protect the home.
• A round Metal Bowl or Dragon Headed Turtle are welcome cures to display. 
• Another option is to hang a 6 Rod Metal Wind Chime outside.
• For May display a protection symbol like a chiming clock or bells or a Metal Happy Hotei

Colors: Black, Gray, White with Metal

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors of red, violet, fuchsia, and orange, Wood, green, Earth, yellow, brown, tan, peach, rust, and Blue.

9 Fire with Metal 7 with Visiting 6 Metal – East Wood

ANNUAL STARS: Here the 9 Star is nourished which adds to the great good fortune in this sector of the home. Middle aged women and middle daughters will have the best year. The San Sha or Three Killings reduces the benefits for this sector unfortunately. Don’t add Fire here as it can be too much, leading to heart issues, blood clots, and mental health or head problems. In this Star formation, the powerful Fire of the 9 Star smelts the Metal of the 7 Star so it is neutralized leading to good fortune.

MONTHLY STARS: The6 Star with the 7 Star creates a sword fight and suggests a very argumentative and disharmonious sector of our home. This is explosive, possibly violent, and a dangerous area to use fire.

Cures:

• In a prominent place put 9 Purple silk flowers in a green vase with amethyst crystals.
• A couple healthy plants – outside plants flowers that bloom purple like lavender, lilac, or indoor plants could be orchids.
• To appease the Sans Sha affliction place a 3 Celestial Beasts Mirror or Plaque.
• For May – add something BLUE to drain the Metal Stars but not running Water.

Colors: Green, Purple, and Wood element are the focus for design. For May add BLUE

AVOID: Fire, fiery colors like red, purple, orange, fuchsia, also Earth like yellow, brown, tan, peach, Metal, white, gray, black, Water.

Best Directions for May – Center, West, North West, and South East

Worst Directions for April – North East, North, South West, , East, and South

The Snake on the world map falls in much of central, western Africa from Libya, Chad, Uganda to Eastern Europe including Ukraine, Romania, Greece, and Turkey up into the Middle East, Israel and Egypt.

The Snake of May will amplify those areas of the world. Likely the wars in Ukraine and Russia, and Israel and Palestine will escalate and hopefully reach peace deals to end the fighting.
