The November Bazi Horoscope bumbled along seeking comfort, wanting to rest, processing, and maybe over indulged. The Pig is our easy going, friend, the one you can always count on for a big hug and a cup of tea or an invitation to do something fun. Perhaps you had that tossing of life in the air moment in November when, despite the way the world was impacting you, there was that flopping onto the couch and not giving a damn kind of mood. Gathering with your besties, with your loves, with your family and remembering what matters most in a time of seeming chaos, that we are loved, that we have community, that we are so much more than all of this. So, in our gratitude, in our thanking those we most appreciate, we see the edges of our days glimmer a little brighter. The Dragon and the Pig may have been the duo that ignited you to get lost in the illusion, and ran off into rainbows. I know I found my days just slogging by, getting things done but not being so productive, and I opened up my calendar to invite in more time with friends. The vibe was definitely more laid back. Self-care was also a big part of the way I constructed my time too.
December 6th we move into a Yang Fire Rat. This is a bonfire sitting in a small puddle as the mist of dawn covers all in dew. There is a steaminess, a sizzle, a spark of something alchemical going on here. The Stem of Fire is a powerful force to be sitting on the Yin Water Rat and this may show itself in some power struggles. The Fire is ruling here, it is overpowering the Rat, and this is what we will see in December, acts of domination, oppression, and power plays. The Rat is an interesting Zodiac Animal as it is very social, very much about being in a crowd and feeling its community. This is not like the Rooster crowing to be seen and heard. The Rat simply has a presence and a desire to connect. The Rat is also about finances, fiscal responsibility, and is a caution to how you spend your money this holiday. What are you investing in? Who are you invested in? And why? What have you gathered, collected, and amassed? These are questions to ask yourself as we move through December. The Rat and Dragon bring a charismatic energy that promotes collabs, and social gatherings, networking, and standing with your people in solidarity. There is a festive feeling to this pairing.

Neutralize– The 3 Star in the Center is visited by the 4 Star in December Both of these Wood Stars are in a position of controlling the Earth of the Center which has a weakening affect but also empowering. Red and the use of the Fire element will mitigate the conflict present here. Both of these Stars cause issues with romance and relationships. Fighting and disagreements are more likely. The Period 9 Star does offer some success and possible fame but this is unstable in this situation. Best Colors/ Decor: Fiery Red, Fuchsia, Orange, and Violet, red candles. Avoid: Blue, water, Green, wood, Earth tones of brown, yellow, peach, ochre, sand, and tan, Metal, white, gray, and black. CURES: Annual cure of a Happy Hotei sitting on 7 Chinese Red envelopes. That cure protects your relationships and wealth.
DEPRESS – The 5 Star is in the West is one of the worst directions for 2024. CAUTION. KEEP THIS AREA QUIET WITH NO CONSTRUCTION OR LOUD BANGING NOISES. To suppress this chi, keep this room dark and used minimally. December brings the 6 Star with Period 9 Yellow 2 Star and this makes for a very contentious situation causing illness, financial problems, and relationship disharmony. Any good fortune the 6 Star could bring is lost here. Be very mindful of the potential for ghosts and spirits to be haunting you as well. Best Colors: Metal and the colors of White, Gray, and Black. Keep the design very Zen. Avoid: EARTH tones like Yellow, Brown, Tan, Peach, Rust, Wood, colors of Green, Blue, Water, Fire and Fire colors of Red, Hot Pink, Orange and Violet. CURE: If this is a main entrance, place a pair of Gold Fu Dogs flanking the front steps/ entranceway. If this is Kitchen, cover the burners with cookie sheets when not in use. If this is a bedroom, put a Salt Water Cure under the bed and put a Brass Wu Lou Health Gourd on your bedside table. VACATE THIS AS A BEDROOM AND AVOID AS AN ENTRANCE if at all possible. Best cure is a 6 rod Metal windchime outside or a chiming clock inside.
DEPRESS – The 4 Star is in the North West is visited by the nasty 5 Star in December. This is placement of the Dog, so the NW is the other of the 3 Afflictions, the Sui Po which is the enemy of the Dragon. If you are born in the Day or Year of the Dog or Dragon DO NOT have this as you bedroom, office, or main entrance. Do Not face SE but it is OK to face NW and put your back to the SE. KEEP THIS AREA QUIET AND UNDISTURBED WITH CONSTRUCTION OR LOUD NOISES. The Star combination here is terrible for relationships with the 4 and 5 Stars together. There is also caution to mental health as well as overall health, safety, and financial woes. The Period 9 Star 1 doesn’t help in this situation as your health is the main concern. Best Colors: Blue colors, no Water and some Metal AVOID: Fire, hot colors like red, fuchsia, orange, violet, green, heavy Wood furnishings, Earth and colors of Yellow, Brown, Tan, Peach, or Rust. CURE: If a front door hang a Ba-Gua mirror to deflect the negative chi and flank the entrance with a pair of Metal Fu Dogs. If a bedroom put a Salt Water Cure under the bed and a Wu Lou Health gourd by the bedside. To protect relationships, put a Chinese Coin with the 4 characters facing up with a Rose Quartz crystal on top. 4 stalks of Lucky Bamboo in a Blue vase is another cure option. No family photos in this room.
ACTIVATE – The 8 Star is in the North for 2024 and December brings our 9 Star bringing sudden, surprise blessings, meetings, and events. Even with the period 9 Star 5 here, the 9 Star is our ruling power and overwhelms the 5 Star’s influence. We say, yay, to that! The 8 Star is challenged in the Watery North this year and as we have ignored the innate expression of this direction to nourish the 8 Star with Earth. The Fiery 9 Star is also conflicted but the 2 Stars together create their own force. Just be mindful of health issues but overall this is a great place for business and finances. Best Colors/ Decor: The mitigator is Metal and the colors of Black, White, and Gray. This is to control any influences from the 5 Star. Avoid: Fire colors of Red, Fuchsia, Violet, and Rose, Earth tones like yellow, peach, rust, burgundy, brown, and tan, Green, Water and colors of Blue. CURES: 8 Silk RED Flowers in a RED Vase and 8 Chinese coins on red string are the cures for 2024.
DEPRESS– The 6 Star is in the North East for 2024 and in Period 9, the 6 Star continues to be a Star of wealth and success. The 7 Star brings a sword fight. The Period 9 Star 3 here only adds to the aggravated tension here. Be careful of injury with sharp objects, especially if this is a kitchen, surgery, fighting that turns violent, defamation, legal problems, family disharmony and loss of money. Best Colors/ Decor: Metal furnishings, Black, white, gray with Blue Avoid: Earthy brown, yellow, cream, ochre, and tan, Water, Wood, Green, Fire, Red, Fuchsia, Violet, Tangerine, Rose, Red. CURES: Black crystals like obsidian, blue cushions and other accessories, Gold Happy Buddha for harmony.
DEPRESS – The 1 Star is in the East and is our new Future Wealth Star in Period 9 with Star 7. Visiting in December we have the 2 Star. This feels really contentious with fighting, sickness, and gossip. Best Colors: Blue, focus primarily on Blue with healthy plants. Also Metal objects. Avoid: Earth tones like yellow, brown, tan, peach, pale pink, and also Fire like red, violet, hot pink, orange, Woody green too. CURE: REMOVE ALL Personal Photos and your Vision Board because you want nothing personal to you in this sector of your home or office. Be mindful of what is going on with relationships this month. The Blue decor will nourish the 1 Star and drain the 2 and 7. Add a Green Happy Buddha for harmony, and Metal objects to weaken the negative impact.
DEPRESS – The 2 Star is in the South East where the Dragon holds reign for 2024 is the GRAND DUKE, one of the 3 Afflictions. 2024 requires we keep this part of our home and property QUIET, NO CONSTRUCTION, LOUD NOISES. December brings the 3 Star causing a “Bull Fight” combination with more disharmony, fighting, and conflict. The Period 9 Star 8 brings some goodness but the overall vibe is very contentious. Females tend to be the overpowering presence. Best Colors: Focus on Metal to weaken these Stars with colors of white, gray, and black. Avoid : Earthy elements of Yellow, Brown, and Terracotta or Rust, green colors, purple, violet, rose, and watermelon, and other Fire colors. CURE: To appease the Grand Duke display a Tai Sui plaque and a pair of Pi Yao beasties facing into 105-135 degrees on the compass. You can also display a Gold Dragon to honor our Dragon Year. If this is an office, put 3 Brass Immortals at your back for support. If this is a main entrance, place a pair of Gold Fu Dogs flanking the front steps/ entranceway for protection. If this is a Kitchen, cover the burners with cookie sheets when not in use. If this is a bedroom, put a Salt Water Cure under the bed and put a Brass Wu Lou Health Gourd on your bedside table. VACATE THIS AS A BEDROOM AND AVOID AS AN ENTRANCE if at all possible. DO NOT FACE South East, Do NOT TRAVEL or point your head when sleeping in the direction of the SE. For December add something red, like 8 Red Silk Flowers, or 8 red crystals.
DEPRESS– The 7 Star is in the South with visiting 8 Earth Star. This is the location of one of the 3 Afflictions, the Three Killings. Be mindful of the risk to safety and finances as well as your reputation. The overall Star combination points to mental health issues, disharmony, sickness for children and pregnant women. It is yet another area of the Ba-Gua fraight with animosity and fighting. CHECK DOORS AND SECURITY – DO NOT store guns, knives, or any other weapons, or tools like a chainsaw in the South. Best Colors: Focus on the colors palette of Blue and black. Avoid: White, gray, Metal, Earth tones like Brown, Tan, and Cream, Fire as in Red, Violet, Hot Pink, and Orange, active Water, Green, and Wood. CURE: Fill a black dish with rice and set a Chinese Coin with a bloodstone crystal on top to protect finances. If this is a Kitchen, cover the burners with cookie sheets when not in use. Three Killings Cure is a Brass Dragon Headed Turtle (never have this facing you) with a plant growing in clean, clear water.
ACTIVATE– The 9 Star is in the South West is our NEW wealth Star ruled by Fire. The 1 Star visits in December with Period 9 Star 6 here creating a dynamic winning combination of Stars. The outlook here is financial good fortune, promotion, business luck, fame, and happy gatherings. Best Colors: Use colors of Green and Wood to mitigate between the 1 and 9 Star with pops of Purple. Worst Colors: Earth tones like cream, Tan, Metal, Gray, Black, White, and Brown. Fire, Yellow, Cherry, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Rose, BLUE, and Water CURE: Display prominently 9 purple silk flowers in a purple or green vase. Have at least one vibrant, healthy plant in this room. Amethyst crystals are also welcome.
