Welcome to July and the halfway mark of our Year of the Snake.
The 3 Pillars for July 8th is Yang Earth Tiger day/ Yin Water Sheep month / Yin Wood Snake year – The Earth Branch of the Day is unable to connect to the month of the Sheep as they are both Earth elements with no connector, meaning no Metal or Fire. The Wood of the Tiger is trapped and stuck. Think of this like a mountain and desert surrounding a big tree that can’t access Water or Fire in order to grow and thrive. Therefore, the Tiger of this day is crippled and left to weaken. The Month branch of Yin Water gently feeds the Yin Wood of the Year which in turn feeds the Fire of the Snake that creates the Earth of the month’s Sheep and there it stymies, unable to reach the Day Pillar which stands isolated. This is like a person who can’t connect to their parents or elders, there is a sense of isolation, of not being included, of feeling cut off. That Tiger is really about independence, of going it alone, and with the Sheep, taking into consideration the semi-Fire Penalty with our Year of the Snake, causes sexual misconduct, r*pe, divorce, infidelity, and other relationship issues. This is not the time for women putting themselves at risk and should exercise great caution when going out at night. Also, not a favorable time to start dating or getting married. Watch for abuse of power and aggressiveness, and the kind of behavior that you should protect yourself from. There is a lot of heat and passion, emotions enflamed right now. It can be super sexy and very impulsive with promiscuity.
The Snake and the Sheep both are more behind the scenes, introverted, quiet personalities. The Snake can be very aloof and discerning. The Sheep is super sensitive and feelings can get hurt when Snake slithers off into the shadows without communicating why. They get along on the surface, and so it feels shallow, transactional. Add this to the challenged situation with the Tiger and Sheep, this month feels like one in which we may be forced to go it alone. The relationships we are involved in on a daily basis may feel inaccessible or when you do interact there is a lot of passion, heat, emotions, and the potential for this to turn violent, inappropriate, or damaging.
